Welcome to the River School Blog!
Our eggs have hatched! Last month we told you that we were bringing back our popular Egg and Chick Project, and it has come to an exciting conclusion. The children loved learning about how chickens grow inside of the egg and anxiously awaited for Fred and Wilma’s eggs to hatch. Once the first chick pecked his way through the shell, he wouldn’t stop chirping! Our older children did an experiment comparing and contrasting the feet of a child and a baby chick. Now the chicks have been adopted and they have gone off to live on the farm. The project was a huge success and we look forward to supplementing our preschool programs with more exhilarating and educational projects like this in the future.
